Fernie with Fitzwilliam (Milton) Point-to-Point - Sunday 2nd May - Live Streaming details

woodland pytchley point-to-point

Sunday’s Fernie with Fitzwilliam (Milton) point-to-point at Dingley will, sadly, be taking place behind closed doors this year without spectators ….. BUT there is no need to miss out on any of the action, as it will all be live streamed as the afternoon progresses. The day begins with two Pony Races (at 1pm), and will be followed by seven races starting at 2pm. Jonathan Neesom (of Racing UK fame) will present all the action live as it happens, alongside local expert (and former Jockey) Johnny Bailey with race commentary from Robbie Scott. With 90 declared runners for the 7 races, we hope that a good and fun afternoon’s racing lies ahead.

We are grateful to everyone who has played such a big part in enabling the day to proceed, not least the many owners, trainers, jockeys, sponsors, advertisers, officials and volunteers – not to mention the organising team! All of the detail for the day can be seen through the interactive digital racecard which can be found by clicking HERE. Please browse through it at your leisure, and then just click on the links and the adverts within the card to be directed to the relevant websites. It will be invaluable for everyone during Sunday afternoon’s racing.

With a very reasonable weather forecast, everyone can enjoy all of the racing from the comfort of their home this year – or in the garden – and even invite a handful of friends to join a party as well. Why not gather a small group (although not more than 6, or 2 families please!) to enjoy it all together over a good old-fashioned picnic. In between the 7 races, please also visit the virtual Trade Stand village by clicking on www.avenuea.co.uk/dingley - to help raise a few extra pounds in support of the meeting, as 10% of every purchase is donated by Avenue A to the afternoon’s sport.

Access to the Live Stream is gained via the links through https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dingleyracing. If you are able to do so, please try to support all the hard work which has gone in to this meeting by making a small donation towards the costs of the day, perhaps of a similar amount to that which you might have spent at the gate, and please encourage others to do so as well. And by donating, you will also have the chance to win prizes ….. as for each donation of £10 or more, the donor will be entered in to the raffle draw to win:

  • Either a first prize of 2 bottles of Taittinger Champagne
  • Or, a second prize of 2 VIP Car Passes at a Dingley race meeting of their choice in 2022 – which will enable the winner to have a fabulous picnic in a stunning raceday setting.

And finally, alongside many within the sporting world, we will be taking part in the social media boycott this weekend to highlight the issue of social media abuse and racism suffered by sporting participants which continues to go unaddressed. Therefore the links above are not being circulated through the usual Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts. We are therefore entirely reliant on word of mouth, and your support, in making sure that this message reaches the widest possible audience.

Thank you in advance for all your help and support.
